Panther Fans Fill the Stands
In partnership with a local nonprofit, Fill the Stands, LFCDS hosted a girls' basketball doubleheader in front of a packed gymnasium.
On Wednesday, January 29, LFCDS fans filled the stands to cheer on the Upper School Girls' Basketball Teams as part of a new partnership with local nonprofit, Fill the Stands.
Founded by an LFCDS parent, Fill The Stands is committed to empowering young female athletes by building supportive communities around girls' sports. The organization’s mission is to increase attendance at girls' events, ensuring these athletes receive the recognition and encouragement they deserve. By filling the stands with passionate fans, they aim to inspire confidence, foster a sense of belonging, and create a positive atmosphere that supports their growth, both on and off the court.
The event featured a DJ, contests and giveaways, a performance from the Fitzpatrick School for Irish Dance, and an appearance from the Lake Forest College Women's Basketball team.
